Benefits

The Science Behind Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that involves using a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-wounds on the skin's surface. These micro-wounds stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, two essential proteins responsible for maintaining youthful skin structure and elasticity. By triggering the body's natural healing response, microneedling encourages the skin to repair and rejuvenate itself.

How Microneedling Can Transform Your Skin

1. Corrective Healing. Using specialized needles, medical grade serums, Twist creates more than one million healing centres in the skin in an average treatment. This controlled damage allows the skin to heal slowly and correctively, rather than in emergency mode (which leads to scarring). Punctured capillaries bring blood platelets, immune cells and endothelial cells that release growth factors and cytokines. These increase cellular signalling and amplify the healing response. Cells that specialize in wound healing become active, migrate to the site of the wound and proliferate. After healing, damaged skin is replaced by new skin with improved structure, firmness and elasticity. Cellular functions are restored and skin cells are reset to their healthy mode of operation.

2. The tiny needles create micro-channels in the skin, allowing for enhanced absorption of topical creams and serums that promote collagen production and scar healing. The procedure helps stimulate cell turnover, promoting the growth of smoother, healthier skin. By improving blood flow and oxygenation to the treated area, Over time, you'll notice a visible reduction in the depth and texture of your scars, leaving you with smoother, more even-toned skin.

Microneedling offers a non-surgical solution to unlock the secrets of rejuvenated skin. With its ability to reduce scarring, enhance skin texture and tone, fade hyperpigmentation and boost skincare product absorption, this innovative procedure is a game-changer in the world of skincare. Don't let your scars hold you back any longer. Experience the transformative power of microneedling and embark on a journey towards a more confident, radiant you!

Microneedling

What Is Microneedling ?

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that involves using a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-wounds on the skin's surface. These micro-wounds stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, two essential proteins responsible for maintaining youthful skin structure and elasticity. By triggering the body's natural healing response, microneedling encourages the skin to repair and rejuvenate itself.

How Does It Feel ?

We use the most advanced microneedling system on the market that is the only system that has Active Needle Retieval Technology & Silk Touch Needling. Active Needle Retieval Technology means the motor behind the needles not only pushes them into the skin, but also actively pulls them out ( as opposed to all other microneedling devices that use passive, spring-based needle retrieval. Silk Touch needling technology significantly shortens the time the needles spend inside the skin. thus minimizing discomfort during treatment. Silktouch is based on a long needle stroke combined with the fastest motor available, not a battery as these provide an inconsistent and lose power and can cause the needles to drag on the skin. In practice, the needles travel longer distance in less time, resulting in the quickesr possible punctures, reduced needling sensation, andn much more confortable needling experiene. As everyones tolerance is different though, there may be some mild discomfort associated with the procedures. A topical anesthetic can be used to numb the area. After the anesthetic has taken effect discomfort is very mild and Most Get a little nap in.

Results Expected ?

Rejuvenation of the skin may be seen in as little as two weeks and as long as 6-8 months after your last microneedling session. For optimal results we recommend treatments in a series and to use the recommended aftercare.

What To Expect Right After The Procedure

Microneedling is a quick and non-invasive cosmetic procedure with minimal side effects. However, it’s quite normal to experience the following: Day 1-3 A sunburn-like effect is normal. Your skin may feel tight, dry or sensitive to touch. Treat the skin gently by washing it with a gentle cleanser, cool water, and using only your hands to pat dry no earlier than 4 hours after treatment. Some redness may also be present and in some cases, patients may experience slight bruising that can last for 5-7 days and temporary swelling for 2-4 days. Day 2-7 Peeling may start 3-5 days after the treatment. You’ll notice skin dryness and flaking which is due to an increased turnover of skin cells. DO NOT pick, scratch, or scrub at treated skin! Important information: You must allow the old skin to flake off naturally and keep it moisturized at all times. Talk to your skin specialist about which products to use. Day 5-7 You may start your regular skin care products again, once your skin no longer feels irritated. Most of our patients have noticed continued skin improvement over the months following their last treatment. For best results: We recommend follow-up and repeat microneedling treatments every 4-6 weeks, with a series of 3-5 treatments depending on your personalized care plan.
